Although he had chronic health problems, beginning when he was only two, he was the most loyal, athletic, joyous, happy best friend I could ever ask for. I always said he was destined to break my heart one day but he brought me more joy than I ever had a right to deserve. He brought out the very best of me. My heartbreaker. Charlie lived his best life for another eight years, hiking, swimming, running with the bike, chasing the ball, tracking the ball, boating - every fun thing we could think of. Because of his chronic Hepatitis, I didn’t give him vaccines or neuter him because they could cause a flare up. This led to prostate problems and hernias. He was finally in a good place when he was ten and then he just went down. ***** As a watercolorist, I take my inspiration from the places I've lived and visited. Many of my paintings were done while living in Florida. Now that I'm living in North Carolina, I can hopefully expand my base to more of the native species of flowers and animals here.
