I went to Hawaii a few years ago and we took our son with us as a gift for his college graduation. Our plan was to spend the first night in Honolulu then onto the Big Island (magnificent in and of itself) and lastly, to Maui (the Road to Hana was the best ride ever). Hawaii remains in the top three, probably the top except for the 22 hour flight, with Atlantis and Sedona as my others.
The flight was long but as we're sitting outside looking at this unbelievable sight from the bar at the hotel, I knew it was worth every second!!!
***** As a watercolorist, I take my inspiration from the places I've lived and visited. Many of my paintings were done while living in Florida. Now that I'm living in North Carolina, I can hopefully expand my base to more of the native species of flowers and animals here.
