When I first had my house in the western NC mountains, I saw these beautifully delicate flowers just wild out in the woods, off the path. I wanted to paint them so badly but their blooming window was very short and just getting pictures became a huge challenge. As fragile as they are, the slightest breeze blows them gently and they just won't hold still to take a picture that isn't blurry. Finally, before I moved away from the house and mountains, I captured several pictures and was able to paint! I hope you like it.

Now that I'm living in North Carolina, I can hopefully expand my base to more of the native species of flowers and animals here.
