The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Artist's Description
This watercolor is of a Leopard resting in the tree limb. It appears to be ignoring us as we watch but make no mistake about it, the leopard is a true jungle cat. Its paws dangle lazily from the large limb it rests upon and the jungle cradles and keeps it safe. This painting is on cold-pressed Arches paper and unframed.
About Lil Taylor
***** As a watercolorist, I take my inspiration from the places I've lived and visited. Many of my paintings were done while living in Florida. Now that I'm living in North Carolina, I can hopefully expand my base to more of the native species of flowers and animals here. Ever since I was a small girl, I have always loved, nature - felt a part of the beauty and order which surrounds us everyday. The intricacies of colors in nature astounded me. I thought sure I commented on this beautiful Jungle Cat. Well I'll do so now. Lil your work with shading the body of this beautiful leopard is exquisite and layout of spots divine. Such a jungle like feel that even Tarzan could not help but fall in love with it. I love the tree branches and the spectacular canopy over head. The lush greens and dark hues of the background makes your leopard pop out at the viewer. Favorite / Vote

Leopard in a tree. My Tiger Toby would lay like this on the top rail of the doors to my bathtub. I would call her the Tigress that liked to lay like a leopard. Thank you for bringing back fond memories of a wonderful cat.
