This watercolor is done in a tropical jungle field with the green parrot sitting in the branches. The parrot sits on a limb, surrounded by leaves, vines and wonderful colors of the living jungle behind it. The feathers are textured beautifully and the beak is ready for a snack. This signed painting is on cold-pressed Arches paper and unframed.

Thank you, Chrisann...it seems I'm into birds right now, doesn't it? I remember telling Marsha a long time ago that birds are like the flowers but alive and I guess I go from one to the other depending on my whims. Marsha, thank you so much!! I painted this quite a while ago and it was always one of my favorites. Hugs back and hope you're doing well!!

lovely painting. Love how the paint drips and blends and the contented look of the parrot. f/v ;-)
Lil Taylor replied:
Thank you, Cori. I find it interesting some of the artists here have been going back and looking at my older work. I find it curious and enlightening myself because you can see my evolving from my first painting "Heron Serenity" up until now where I'm just crazy bold. This was an experiment because I had just been doing mottled backgrounds and decided to get more defined. :) Thanks so much!
