Description
I have only just completed this watercolor and after a few tries, have finally achieved the abstract landscape that I was after. The bright blues of the peacock are blurred carefully along the edges against a peachy, golden background to throw the blue in sharp relief. Closer to the camera on this bird is its beautiful plumage and captured is the eye of the plume over the peacock's actual eye so it's difficult to tell which it is. Bright colors make a statement and the result is stunningly impressive.

And thank you, Farah. I wanted it to appear natural and not worked over too much because I felt it would take away from the simplicity. Thanks very much!

Thank you, VIvian. This one pretty much killed me trying to figure out how to do it and I went through 3 before this one came alive. The others were tossed in frustration but that's how we learn, isn't it? Thanks so much!!

Beautiful color and flow, Lil. I imagine this was pretty difficult with watercolor.
Lil Taylor replied:
Thank you, Kristin. It took lots of masking and even just deciding the exact background color drove me crazy!! haha Thanks so much!!

Thank you all. This was one of those pieces that I had to try it 5 different times until I figured out what worked and didn't. I even wish I had kept the original! ha! That'll teach me. Thank you all so much!
