This is a painting that I've re-done 4 times now because I wanted to get it just right. I wanted a nice balance between colors - not too much white or too much snow, even only one snowy horse because it's being kicked up by the horse in front. This was a fun challenge and I love the freedom and playfulness of the horses in the wild natural setting. This original watercolor is signed and unframed. The paper is cold-pressed Arches watercolor paper
***** As a watercolorist, I take my inspiration from the places I've lived and visited. Many of my paintings were done while living in Florida. Now that I'm living in North Carolina, I can hopefully expand my base to more of the native species of flowers and animals here. Ever since I was a small girl, I have always loved, nature - felt a part of the beauty and order which surrounds us everyday. The intricacies of colors in nature astounded me.
