Flowers in Your Hair II
Artist
Lil Taylor
Medium
Painting - Watercolor On Paper
Description
This is the second of my Iris series. I had 4 days up in the mountains to decompress and felt like painting them while I was here. I hope you enjoy them. This painting was also inspired by my life at the moment and particularly my Mother. Mumford and Sons is an Irish band and this was derived from the song, "After the Storn. The chorus goes, "There'll come a time, you'll see.....with no more tears and love will not break your heart, But, dismiss your fears....get over your hill and see what you find there with grace in your heart .....and flowers in your hair."

Beautiful painting, Lil. My first thought about your title was about going to San Francisco. I love your reference as well. :) Vote.
Lil Taylor replied:
Ahh, going to San Fran is always such a joy and I love visiting there - walking down to the wharf to eat and then stopping on the way back to have some unbelievably good Irish coffee on the way back to the hotel. What a great place!!! I always think of the "bush man" who hangs out there and pretends to be a busy until you notice him when he jumps up. What a fun tine!!

Love this one too! I didn't see this one in gardenscapes, you can add it later if you want. I like the irises leaning on one another...Very symbolic isn't it? fav and vote
