Title
Flowers in Your Hair I
Artist
Lil Taylor
Medium
Painting - Watercolor On Paper
Description
This painting is the 1st of two I've done of purple irises at my house. I took the pictures earlier this Spring but was sidetracked due to some family issues. The name is derived from a Mumford and Sons song called, "After the Storm". Maybe it's the seriousness of the situation I am in now with my mother but the words go, "There'll come a time, you'll see....With no more tears and love will not break your heart but dismiss your fears. Get over your hill and see, what you find there with Grace in your heart and flowers in your hair.

I always love the deep colors that you use in your watercolors, Lil. This one is no exception. Beautiful work. Vote.

Chrisann, I'm so happy to hear from you and I apologize for my absence. Thank you for being my friend and keeping up with me, along with the comments plus the feature!! Pati, I'm so happy you love the bright colors - I love to make watercolors appear much more than they are. I don't have the most delicate sensibilities in color! Also, Brigitte, thank you for visiting and your sweet comment. When I'm back up and running, I'll visit your site too!~

The beauty comes out of you even in the midst of trial Lil, that alone is admirable. It shows your strength of character and sense of responsibility in a storm. These lovely flowers will mark this period in your life. I know, I've been there, this week will be five years since I lost my Mom and I have have many markers. Keeping you, your Mom and family in prayer and hope it helps that others care. Wear some " Flowers in your Hair" girl, You deserve them!!! God Bless vote and fav of course and featured in Gardenscapes!

Oh Lil the story brought tears to my eyes as it sounds like our paths are very similar at this point in time. I have vertually put my life on hold whilst trying to help my elderly parents through a very traumatic time in their lives involving nursing home thus separation house being flooded and the list goes on. Maybe I need to go decompress like you have to get back on track.
Lil Taylor replied:
Carol, we are on the same path and though there are many trials, there is so much more satisfaction that I'm doing everything I can to make her days as happy as I possibly can. Thank you very much and bless you in your own path as we go parallel to each other.

What a beautiful sentiment Lil, and the flowers are exquisite. I am so glad to see you painting. I hope things are well with you and especially your Mom. It's good you can be there. keep well girlfriend.
Lil Taylor replied:
Sharon, thank you so much. This is my 4 day respite in the mountains and I'm heading back to my responsibilities so I slid these two in. I hope you're doing well and that I'll be home one of these days!! I apologize for not visiting your site (or even checking my mail here) but the internet here and at my mom's is a snail's pace.
