In Sapphire, NC, this is the lake where I walk my dogs when I don't feel like driving to Whiteside. This is the view from the little jetty where they swim. Last fall, I took this picture on the last time they swam even though it was really cold....They didn't care. It's a very picturesque place and i'm happy to have a cabin there. Interestingly, to the left of where the original picture was taken is a beautiful scenic mountain called, Bald Rock. And an even more trivial fact is when you see the Wrangler commercial of a guy throwing a stick for his golden retriever on a grassy outcrop with a rocky mountain in the background, that is Bald Rock and where he throws the stick is where I take my dogs swimming. To the right of that is this gorgeous stone bridge and the golf course is on the other side. This unframed original is available for sale.

Thank you all so much. This is one that took me quite a while to paint and even though it wasn't difficult, all the masking and layering watercolors takes time. If you do it too quickly, you get a muddy mess. lol I do love it too and that was a beautiful photo to begin with. On the other side of the bridge the water falls down rocks and rools to a pond so you see through the tunnel the actual grees and grass of the golfcourse beyond.
